Multimodal Field Reports

Transform photos, voice observations, and field notes into structured, actionable, and shareable reports.

  • HSE
  • Operations
  • Project Management
  • Quality

In the field, an observation usually takes the shape of a photo, a voice note recorded on the move, or a line scrawled on a paper form, rarely an already-structured report.

Fasfox builds systems that bring these multimodal pieces together into one coherent record per observation, evidence attached, before a quality or HSE lead signs it off.

The photo taken at eight, the report written at six

On a construction site or an industrial plant, a technician photographs a defect at eight in the morning, dictates a note walking to the next stop, and scribbles a line on a paper form. The formal report only gets written that evening, or the next day, back at the office, by which point half the context is already gone.

When the photo and the voice note tell different stories

Demonstrations usually show the easy case: one photo, one observation, one report. Field conditions are messier, the network drops and files arrive hours later, out of sequence; poor lighting makes a crack hard to make out in the image; the voice note mentions a problem the photo doesn’t show at all. A system that fuses these mismatched inputs without flinching produces a tidy report that is wrong.

A definition of non-conformity, specific to this site

The approach assumes mobile capture is already a habit, or simple enough to become one quickly, and that a quality or HSE lead has set a clear definition of what counts as a reportable deviation on this kind of site. Without that framing, the system sorts observations against generic criteria that miss the project’s actual priorities.

HSE signs off before a finding becomes official

The system groups photo, voice and notes into one structured record per observation, with the supporting evidence attached. When sources contradict each other, it flags the discrepancy rather than choosing on the operator’s behalf. The HSE or quality lead reviews every safety-related record before it enters the project’s official register.
