Role-Based Onboarding
Structure new hire integration with onboarding journeys tailored to the role, responsibilities, and context.
An onboarding path built once and left alone ages at the pace of the procedures it describes, and nobody notices until the next hire arrives.
We build systems that assemble a path specific to the role and the site from existing internal content, with an owner responsible for keeping it current.
A site manager starts a new role on a Monday morning
A site manager joins a new construction site and has to absorb, within days, the site’s safety procedures, the right contacts, internal tools, and their own manager’s expectations, on top of the job itself. That information exists somewhere, spread across a generic welcome pack written by HR, scattered site documents sitting in shared folders, and colleagues fielding the same questions during the first few weeks.
Content goes stale faster than the role changes
An onboarding path built once and left alone ages quickly: a procedure changes, a tool gets replaced, a contact leaves, and nobody updates the corresponding document. The next new hire then gets an outdated path, with the same feeling of having to ask the team everything all over again.
Someone needs to own keeping content current
This starts from internal content that already exists, even if scattered, and from one person clearly named to update it whenever a procedure or tool changes, with time set aside in their schedule to do it. Without that owner, the path generated at launch degrades at the same pace as the documents feeding it, and the project stays premature until someone has been named.
The manager approves progress at each stage
We build a system that assembles, from existing content, a path specific to the role and the site, with progressive steps and clear checkpoints. The manager stays the validation point at key moments, end of probation, independence on a sensitive task, and keeps the ability to adjust the path from one hire to the next, shortening it for someone arriving from a similar site.
